Herndon Middle and High Schools hosted the 2008 District XII Orchestra Festival

March 2008.  Herndon High Orchestra performs in the District XII Festival:

Concert orchestra receives a Superior (1) playing grade IV pieces:

·         La Boca Grande (Kriechbaum)

·         Farandole from L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2 (Bizet/Isaac)

·         Shepherd's Hey (Grainger/Alshin)

All three judges awarded a score of 1, Superior! 

Symphonic orchestra receives Superior (1) playing grade VI pieces:

·         Andante Festivo (Sibelius)

·         Suite in F for Strings "Lady Radnor  (Parry)

·         I christantemi (Puccini/Talmi)
